Norwegian Air Ambulance
Norwegian Air Ambulance is the famous air service in all area of Norway. This air ambulance was commenced by the Government hold air ambulance service, which is known as Luftambulansetjenesten limited Company. This air ambulance service offers rescue helicopter services and ambulance as well as fixed-wing air ambulance missions.
Aircrafts are offered at 6 airports helicopters at eleven hospitals and investigate and release helicopters at 5 military airfields. The Royal Norwegian Air Force 330 Sqadron is operated the salvage helicopters. However, the foundation Norsk Luftambulanse and Lufttransport private Company is activated the other missions on an agreement for the Norwegian Air Ambulance.
Since 1920s, the Military and private organizations have been activated the Norwegian Air Ambulance. However, the initial devoted service appeared in 1972 when the armed forces 330 squadron was ready with Westland Sea King helicopters. The department of justice was brought the helicopters although they were to be activated by the armed forces.
In 1973, the government of Norway began looking at methods for organizing ambulance service in all areas of Norway. The foundation Norsk Luftambulanse has established in 1977 prior to the government had taken a decision. This air ambulance is offered a single helicopter at Lorenskog. The government has begun obtaining services from the organization in 1983.
In 1988, national ambulance service was begun whereas the government has purchased services from special corporations. In 1993, three corporations had started such as Lufttransport, Norsk Luftambulanse and Airlift on the familial air ambulance patent in the Country of Norway. Norsk Luftambulanse has purchased airlift in 2002 and combined them in the missions. In April of 2006, the Norwegian Air Ambulance enlarged its agreements with Lufttransport and Norsk Luftambulanse until 2014.
Operations
The headquarters of military 330 Squadron has located at Sola Air Station, which is exterior to Stavanger. The air force squadron is operated military airports such as Banak Air Station, Sola Air Station, Bodo Main Air Station and Orland Main Air Station. Additionally there is objectivity at Rygge Air Station. In 2005, this air ambulance had more than 1038 missions. The air force squadron is operated about twelve Sea King Helicopters.
Helicopter Ambulances
In the Norway, the helicopter ambulances are situated at eleven hospitals. The foundation Norsk Luftambulanse and Lufttransport private company is activated these helicopters. Lufttransport activates Eurocopter SA365N/2/3 Dauphin, Agusta A109E Power and Eurocopter EC135T2 however; Norsk Luftambulase activates Eurocopter EC 145 and Eurocopter EC 135 P2.
Helicopters are placed at the hospitals in Alesund, Arendal, Bronnoysund, Floro, Tromso, Bergen, Dombas, Trondheim, Al and Stavanger.
Fixed Wing Ambulances
In Norway, the plane ambulances are placed at 6 airfields. Lufttransport offers the service with 12 Beech King Air B200 aircraft. The planes are placed at Bodo Airport, Hoybuktmoen, Gardermoen, Langnes, Alta Airport, Alesund Airport and KirkenesAirport.
